City of Madison Youth Recreation

The City of Madison Park Board strives to offer sports programs and activities that provide fundamental athletic instruction in a non-competitive environment that focus on participation. They strive to offer activities in a safe and positive environment while having a fun time for the youth in our community. T-Ball (Spring Season)

Your child will be taught the fundamentals of t-ball while emphasizing teamwork and fun. Children will develop and build their hand-eye coordination and motor skills as they are introduced to the most basic baseball skills. Youth will benefit from the socialization and physical activity of our fun, organized play as they learn to throw, catch, and bat. Parent participation is highly encouraged to help children stay engaged and comfortable as they explore new activities.

Youth Baseball (Spring Season)

Youth baseball’s primary mission is to develop a lifelong love of America’s pastime in today’s youth by giving them the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of throwing, catching, fielding, and much more while having fun.

Youth Softball (Spring Season)

The primary mission of softball is to teach the fundamentals of throwing, catching, fielding, and defense (infield and outfield), base running, hitting, and pitching to our players in a safe and fun environment.

Youth Recreational Soccer (Spring Season)

This is a soccer program that is primarily devoted to the enjoyment and development of soccer players without the emphasis on travel or high-level competition. The purpose of recreational soccer is to provide an opportunity for the participants to have fun, learn the sport, and develop life skills including a lifelong love of the game.

Future Sports, Programs, and Events for Youth

The Park Board would like to implement the following sports, programs, and events. If anyone is interested in volunteering to help get these programs active, please stop by the City Office.

Youth Basketball

The City of Madison Park Board would like to offer basketball for boy and girls ages 5-12. Children will pickup basic basketball skills while participating in a positive and fun atmosphere.

Flag Football

The City of Madison Park Board would like to offer organized flag football for local youth 5-14 years old. Children will pickup basic football skills while participating in a positive, non-contact, and continuous action sport.

School-Aged Programs

Throughout the year, the Park Board members will offer a variety of programs for school-aged children and teens:

  • Adventure Camp: One Day Camp in Fall and Spring (Teacher Work Day)
  • Kids’ Night Out
  • 4th, 5th, 6th Fun Zone Dance
