New Green Space in Madison
New Green Space in Madison!!!
Extra, Extra Read All About It...The City of Madison has worked on new facades downtown and with financial help from local community members a beautiful green space as well; that has been provided for our community members. The green space is located in downtown Madison on Main Street between Third and Nebraska Street. It provides a place for our community members to gather and be social or simply enjoy their lunch in a beautiful and relaxing area. It encompasses a table with benches, grain gazebo, and diverse plants and trees. A big thank you to the sponsors of this area, Tyson Foods and Farmer's Pride Coop, for helping make this project come true. If you are ever in Madison stop by and enjoy our little Nirvana.
New Housing Coming to Madison
New Housing Coming to Madison!!!
Two new housing subdivisions are coming to Madison. Staying true to our motto, Madison is continuing its progress with lots of pride to provide many possibilities and home to our community. The Community Redevelopment Authority of Madison (CRA) Board members: Brenda Jones, EJ Habrock, John Bomar and its past president, Doug Wagner, with support from the Mayor and City Council have coordinated, planned, and worked tirelessly to bring new homes to the City of Madison.
Horizon View is located on the South end of Madison, bordering Main Street to the West. Phase l has 11 lots for single family or duplex homes, which are very economically priced at $20,000 for approximately 12,500 square foot lots. The low price per lot has been made possible with partners Frontier Bank, Jones-Remender Foundation, Madison County Bank, Pinnacle Bank, Tilden Bank and Tyson Foods. Four of the lots have already been spoken for, so if anyone is interested in building a new home, please contact 402-454-3412 to get more information. When Phase l is full, or nearly full, work will begin on expanding the subdivision to Phase ll, which calls for an estimated 17 more lots.
Madison Estates, consisting of 6 quality built units of Senior (55+) duplexes, which will be 1,300 square feet, 3 bedroom, with attached garages. They will be built very soon on North Main Street, and located next to the Northside Community Center, across the street from the Post Office and Memorial Park. Madison Estates will be just a short walk from the downtown area.
